Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Border Nexus, LLC (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and what rights you have. It covers this website and the software and services we build and operate for our business clients.

Information we collect on this website

  • Contact form. Your name, email, company, optional phone number and your message. We use them only to reply to you and to prepare a proposal.
  • Technical data. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and request logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are requested.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this website, and we do not sell personal information.

Software we operate for clients

When a business uses software we build or host for them, for example a client portal or a messaging tool connected to the WhatsApp Business Platform, that business decides what data is processed and why. We act on their behalf as a data processor: we store messages, media and contact details only to provide the service, keep each client’s data in a separate private database, and do not use it for any other purpose.

WhatsApp messages are delivered through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform and are also subject to WhatsApp’s Business Policy.

Facebook Messenger and Instagram messages

Our team inbox can connect to a client’s Facebook Page and Instagram professional account through Meta’s Messenger Platform and Instagram API, with the permission of that Page’s administrator. When it is connected:

  • We receive the messages people send to that business, the sender’s public name and profile picture, and the Page- or Instagram-scoped ID Meta assigns to them.
  • We use this information only to show the conversation to the business’s staff, deliver their replies, and assign conversations within their team.
  • We do not use it for advertising, do not sell or share it with anyone else, and do not combine it with data from other clients.
  • Messages are kept for as long as the client keeps the conversation, and deleted when the client deletes it or ends the service.

You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time. See our data deletion instructions.

How we protect information

  • All connections are encrypted with HTTPS.
  • Passwords are stored as salted hashes; staff access is role-based.
  • Incoming webhooks are verified with cryptographic signatures.
  • Media files are stored privately and served only to signed-in users.

How long we keep it

Contact-form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting work, and deleted on request. Client data in operated systems is kept according to that client’s instructions and deleted when the service ends.

Service providers

We use Cloudflare for hosting, databases and file storage, and Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform, Messenger Platform and Instagram API for messaging features. These providers process data under their own security and privacy commitments.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. To make a request, contact us through the contact page. If your data is held in a system we operate for one of our clients, we will pass your request to that business and help them respond.
